The Apple Capital Museum in Berwick hosts a summer series talk about the Berwick United Church Camp and its history July 28 at 7 p.m.

Lester Settle will speak about the camp’s beginnings, using some of the personal story told by  E.C. Foster, the founder; and then drawing from an account written for the  50th anniversary of the camp meeting by Rev. A.R. Reynolds. He will also talk about the role of women in the camp meeting program and development of the School for Leaders under the Women's Missionary Society, beginning around 1891. He will bring along a selection of camp photos from its archive as well, showing some of the early gatherings and buildings.

There is no admission, and community friends are welcome.
