The dry goods store is identified by the boot on the rooftop, as we hear on the radio, "under the boot at the Kentville end of new Minas". The new owners did not buy the dry goods buisiness so therefore the boot should not belong to them.

I am pleased the iconic "big boot" will stay in New Minas, but I did have just the place for it....give the "big boot" to Darrel Dexter and the NDP , in recognition of broken promises.
