Telephone operators stand by as the Christmas Mommies and Daddies Telethon gets under way on Nov. 25. The telethon, which raised $20,000 in pledges, will provide less fortunate families in the Coldbrook to Kingston areas with Christmas hampers and toys. Pledges can be honoured at the Royal Bank in Coldbrook and Berwick, CIBC Kingston and Greenwood, Bank of Nova Scotia in Middleton and Greenwood, the Credit Union in Greenwood and Cambridge and Chisholm’s Pharmachoice in Aylesford. Cheques may be made payable to the local “Christmas Mommies and Daddies.” - Submitted
