Kentville Rotarians Heather Tupper, left, and Rod MacMahon man a kettle at the Superstore in New Minas as part of the Salvation Army’s annual Kettle Campaign. The Salvation Army depends on local groups “adopting” a kettle for the day to help man each location. Last year, the Rotary Club of Kentville raised the highest amount with their kettle out of all the service organizations that volunteered in 2011, bringing in over $1,700, and were given the Bell Ringer Award. - Submitted
