Kingston Lions Club’s Christmas Eve breakfast is a tradition that brings hundreds of people together to celebrate the spirit of sharing in the holiday season.
Started by the club nearly 20 years ago as a way to give back to the community, the event draws anywhere from 500 to 800 people annually.
“For a lot of people, Christmas starts with this community breakfast,” said King Lion Alice Neiley.
Scouts and other community volunteers help the Lions’ with the non-stop preparing and serving of the big breakfast.
The club also makes an annual donation to the local food bank at the breakfast. This year a cheque for over $4,000 was presented to the Upper Room Food Bank.
