Arena fundraiser planned

Kingston’s Friends of the Village are planning a winter fundraising dinner, dance and silent auction to benefit the Kingston arena.

Kingston’s Friends of the Village are back in action, preparing for another fundraiser in support of the Western Kings arena in Kingston.

Members of the volunteer group raised more than $20,000 for the community arena at their 2012 dinner and auction fundraiser.

The upcoming 2013 event, taking place at the Kingston Legion Feb. 23, will feature a soup starter and Cordon Bleu entrée, as well as an evening of entertainment that will include a live auction, quilt raffle and a dance.

Tickets will be sold in advance for $20 per person and can be purchased by contacting Muriel Craig, 765-8605.
