There were five tables of 45s in play at the Rebekah Hall Feb. 8. Prizewinners were ladies’ 1st, Phyllis Sweeney; ladies’ 2nd, Sheilah Wiles; gents 1st, Janet DeMille; gents’ 2nd, Larry Woodman; 30/60, Rupert Reeves and 50/50, Leona Mappleback.

At the South Berwick Community Centre, Feb. 11, there were seven tables of 45s in play. Prizewinners were ladies’ 1st, Jean Campbell; ladies’ 2nd, Gladys Connors; gents’ 1st, Larry Caldwell; gents’ 2nd, Arthur Salsman; 30/60, Larry Caldwell; door prize, Pauline McCauley and 50/50 went to Marg Agovino.

The Central Kings Crusaders met at the Rebekah Hall Feb. 12 with 12 members in attendance. They opened with the Senior Citizens and Pensioners’ prayer. Happy Birthday was sung to Faye Chase and Lillian Ewing. Committee reports were given. The new slate of officers for 2014 are: Erle Dolsen, president; Lorraine Toole, secretary-treasurer; Betty Jean Smith and Helen Huntley, ways and means; Faye Chase, membership. Mary Fraser won the door prize. They played Bingo and Roxie Redden won a Valentine’s Day cake made by Mary Fraser. The next meeting will be March 12. New members are welcome.

The World Day of Prayer will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church at 7 p.m. on March 7. Everyone is welcome.
