A welcome addition to the St. John’s Anglican Church Shrove Tuesday Pancake supper was the mellow music of organist Eric Jackson.  People came from near and far to enjoy the delicious and generous helpings of pancakes and sausage with St. John’s signature blueberry sauce and finished their meal with a slice of homemade pie.

It’s game time at the Port Williams Library during March Break. Board games, active games, and Wii on March 12 for kids ages five to seven from 10:30 a.m. to noon and from kids from 10 to 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. Registration is free but required and can be done online at valleylibrary.ca or 542-3005. 

There will be a "Thinking of Spring" coffee party March 15 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Baptist Church – Lockwood Hall. It is sponsored by the Eastern Valley Baptist Assoc. assisted by the congregation of Pt. Wm. UBC. Proceeds for the Rev. Dr. Dennis Veinotte Chaplaincy Fund for Nursing Homes in Kings County. Free will offering. Everyone welcome.

Choral Evensong Series:  The second in a series of Choral Evensong services will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church at 4 p.m. March 16. Evensong is a unique English tradition where much of the service is sung rather than spoken.  This week they welcome the choir of King’s College Chapel, Halifax who will lead the praises.

DanceTime at Port Williams will host a Disco Dance (with some social and ballroom dancing) at the Community Centre March 22 from 8:30 p.m. until midnight. Club DJ Kara will entertain you with hits from the disco era. Advance ticket sales only.  Tickets are $5 per person. Must be 19 years of age or older.
