Playing in front of rock legend Gene Simmons may be the biggest New Year’s resolution members of the Valley band Eco-Shock ever make.
The KISS front man and reality TV star will be in Moncton January 14 in search of a new band to take under his wing.
Hoping for a chance to get noticed, Eco-Shock recently filmed a video at the New Beginnings Centre in Greenwood before a live audience to submit to the contest. Two days after it was uploaded to YouTube, the video was ranked 28th in Canada as the most-watched music video, and had garnered the band 846 views.
Candidates will be selected from each province to perform live for Simmons at the ECMA Brand Confabulation conference next month. Eco-Shock came close to being seen by Simmons in 2009, when it was in the running to open for KISS in Halifax, but was disqualified for being too young.
