Wolfville’s Emily Anne Stewart has been selected as the only Canadian among the “final six” for a Dream Job competition with Arrival Mag in New Zealand. The travel loving the recreation management rad from Acadia University is currently in Calgary, but leaves to travel in China and Mongolia next week.
Stewart was thinking about working abroad for a year in New Zealand when she stumbled upon a tourism magazine that was offering the contest of a lifetime.
“The winner would get to go to New Zealand and experience everything the country has to offer while blogging, tweeting, and posting about it along the way. I couldn't think of anything I am more prepared for as an Acadia Recreation Management grad.”
Some of the other applicants, Stewart said, are already professional photographers or had their local news station do a piece on their story and now have over 2,000 Likes on their photo on Facebook.
“With only 65 Likes, I just squeezed by in the Final 6.
“The New Zealand magazine wants to show off the country through the eyes of a fellow traveller. They are offering a two month, all-expenses paid position to an outgoing person who will get out there and try all that NZ has to offer; food, wine, adventure, nature.”
