The staff of Scotiabank, New Minas, worked all year on various fundraising projects such as barbecues, book sales and selling raffle tickets on a quilt to raise funds for the Aldershot Elementary School breakfast and food programs. Principal Karen Dyke, front, centre, said “we’re thrilled” and “we can’t thank you enough” as she accepted the $2,500 cheque from Scotiabank personal banking manager Greg Llewellyn, front, left, customer representative Angela Swinamer and branch manager Mike Mills, right. The bank matched funds raised by the branch’s 19 staff members. - Kirk Starratt
