Kings County residents recieve ECMA nominations

The East Coast Music Award nominations announced Tuesday made some Kings County musicians happy.

Entertainers Donna and Andy were nominated for Children’s Recording of the Year with their French CD La vie pour moi. Classical Composition of the Year nods went to Acadia University music profs Derek Charke for Between the Shore and the Ships and Steven Naylor for Aboiteau. A further nomination for Electronic Recording of the Year went to Naylor for his work Lieux imaginaires.

The East Coast Music Week 2013 (ECMW), which is celebrating its 25th anniversary, takes place in Halifax from March 6-10 and features some of the regions most celebrated and renowned acts.
