To help mark February as African Heritage Month, school board Race Relations, Cross-Cultural Understanding and Human Rights coordinator Krishinda McBride brought a delegation of student support workers and students involved in the board's student support program to the Feb. 6 board meeting in Berwick to make a presentation on the program. In attendance, along with McBride, were a total of eight students and seven of the eight student support workers employed by the board to work with visible minority students in Valley schools. Shown here are McBride, right, and Kyla Mansfield, a student at Horton High School, who works with SSW Lawrence Parker. - John DeCoste, www.kingscountynews.ca
