On Thursday, March 20 at 7 p.m. there will be a public discussion on video art at the Acadia Art Gallery. Special guests Jim McSwain, Becka Barker, and others will explore issues around the production and distribution of video art in the Atlantic Region. This is an opportunity to come and hear about the status of contemporary video art and to ask questions, says gallery director Dr. Laurie Dalton.
The Acadia University Art Gallery in collaboration with the Centre for Art Tapes is presenting this special event. It is part of the programming in conjunction with Project 35: Volume 2, currently on exhibit at Acadia until April 16. Project 35 is a video exhibition selected by 35 international curators.
The traveling exhibition was produced by Independent Curators International (ICI) in New York. The Acadia University Art Gallery recognizes the support of Arts Nova Scotia.
