KINGS COUNTY - If you have an idea for a program that helps improve the health of children through physical activity, it could be eligible for funding through the Active Kids, Healthy Kids initiative.
The fund is designed to support community projects and programs that enable young people and their families to lead physically active lifestyles. Active Kids, Healthy Kids grants have supported a variety of programs and initiatives over the years, including speed skating, bubble soccer and more.

The next application deadline is Feb. 12. Kings County Active Kids, Healthy Kids is a cooperative initiative of the Eastern Kings Memorial Community Health Foundation, Kings County community health boards, the provincial Department of Health and Wellness, recreation departments within Kings County and the Western Kings Memorial Health Society.
