Heat and humidity warning issued

In addition to rainfall warning and tropical storm watches associated with the track of Hurricane Bill, Environment Canada issued a Humidex warning for Kings County today.

Environment Canada considers a Humidex value of 40C or higher to be extreme. People are advised to avoid unnecessary outdoor activity in order to avoid heat stroke.

At noon, the temperature in Kentville was 31C, but felt like 40C with humidity.
