New Minas welcomed all to the first Christmas tree lighting and holiday children’s party at the new Louis Millett Community Complex Dec. 5.

After lighting up the tree and special appearances by Princess New Minas Kyla Davidson and town crier Lloyd Smith, a fireworks show lit up the sky.

Hot chocolate, cookies and visits with Santa Claus followed inside the building.
