The Kings Chorale will celebrate the poetry of Robbie Burns on Jan. 25 in a concert entitled, Toast a Classic Scot: A Musical Tribute to Robbie Burns.

The choir will present a variety of Burns’ poetry, both familiar and more obscure. Included will be a number of traditional arrangements of Burns’ classics, as well as contemporary settings of familiar texts as such as Auld Lang Syne and Green Grow the Rushes, O. Other well-known Scottish tunes, including Loch Lomond, will round out the program.

The Kings Chorale is a non-auditioned choir founded by artistic director Bill Perrot. The choir is made up of people from all walks of life and all ages drawn from communities throughout the Annapolis Valley who sing together weekly. Kings Chorale has been performing throughout the Valley for more than 30 years.

Join Kings Chorale Jan. 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Louis Millet Centre, New Minas. Tickets are $10 and available from members of the choir or at the door.
