Hello, everyone. School is over, so stay aware for the kids out bicycling and running around. We wouldn't want anyone to get hurt.

The card party for June 23 was another successful evening. There were nine full tables plus one five-handed table.

Loyla Horner won the ladies’ first prize while Ethyl Pineo won second and Shirley Carter won third. Gary Farris won the first prize for the gents while Howard Coldwell won second and John Griffiths won third.

Barb Mitchell won the 50/50 prize and there was no traveler prize winner tonight. Dick and Marie Weir donated prizes.

Don't forget about the Rummage Sale that takes place every Saturday and Sunday at the White Rock Baptist Church. It is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome; there are a variety of items to choose from.

Young People's Group takes place every Friday night at the White Rock Church basement from 7:30-9 p.m. Teens welcome. Call Ed and Nellie for more information at 542-5134.

Tai Chi takes place every Monday night starting at 7 p.m. Course is free and everyone is welcome to attend. For more information, contact Ed at 542-5134.

Quilting takes place every Monday night at 7 p.m. at the Black River Community Hall. The quilt is in the quilting stage now and tickets will be sold on the finished quilt.

Proceeds to the Black River Community Club renovations. Call Tina for more information at 542-4152.

Happy birthday to Cameron Hoyt, who will celebrate June 30. Zelma Long will celebrate her birthday July 2 and Debbie Schofield July 6.
