Fire Chief James Redmond says an evening fire in a New Minas trailer park is under investigation.

"There are some issues and there will be a while before a cause is known."

New Minas firefighters and Kings District RCMP were called to the scene of a burning mobile home just before 5 p.m. Nov. 12.  off Old Dyke Road behind the Commercial Street Plaza.

Redmond said fire crews had the blaze knocked down in 15 minutes.

“It was burning hard - flames were going through the roof," he said Nov. 13, “we hit it fast and we hit it hard.
