Aylesford woman arrested, 50 pounds of marijuana found

A 45-year-old Aylesford woman has been arrested for trafficking marijuana.

 

Nov. 12 at approximately 5 p.m., Kingston RCMP, with assistance from the Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU), executed a search warrant at a residence on Aylesford Road in Aylesford. Police seized in excess of 50 pounds of marihuana in various stages of production. Some of the marihuana was packaged for sale. Police also seized a small amount of prescription pills. A female was arrested without incident.

 

A 45-year-old female from Aylesford is facing charges of Possession of Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking, Production of Marihuana and Possession of Prescription Pills. She will appear in Kentville Provincial Court on Jan. 7, 2013. 

 

The Valley Integrated SCEU consists of members of the Kentville Police Service and Kings District RCMP.
