Five drunk driving arrests in Kings County over the weekend

Kings County RCMP were busy Dec. 14-16 with five impaired driving arrests.

 

On Dec. 14, at 11:47 p.m., Kings District R.C.M.P. stopped a van in Greenwich. The driver, a 46-year-old man from the Wolfville area, will appear on impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle over the legal limit of 80 mg of alcohol in blood . He was released on conditions to appear in Provincial court on Jan. 21, 2013.  

 

On Dec. 15, at approximately 10:52 p.m. in Sheffield Mills, Kings County, a motor vehicle off the road resulted in a refusal of a breath sample charge. The driver, a 48-year-old Avonport woman, failed to provide a breath sample and will appear on that charge on Jan. 28 in Kentville Provincial Court.  

 

A snowmobile crash resulted in an impaired operation investigation by Kings District  R.C.M.P. on Dec. 16 around 12:30 a.m. in Keddy’s Corner, Kings County. The 31-year-old Keddy’s Corner man was injured when he lost control of the snowmobile while removing it from a shed. He was transported to Valley Regional Hospital.  

 

On Dec. 16, in Sheffield Mills, around 1:00 a.m., Kings District R.C.M.P. responded to a motorcycle crash with injuries. A 20-year-old Kingport man was operating the motor cycle without a helmet. The man was transported to Valley Regional Hospital with head injuries. The Kings District R.C.M.P. are investigating as an alcohol-related crash.  

 

Kings District R.C.M.P. responded to a report of an impaired driver in Berwick on Dec. 16 at 2:14 p.m. A 66-year-old, Harbourville woman was arrested and failed to provide a breath sample on demand of the Kings District R.C.M.P. member. She was released on a condition to appear in provincial court on March 4, 2013.
