An 18-wheeler, which failed to negotiate a turn onto highway 1 in Cambridge, is causing traffic tie-ups east and west of Cambridge this afternoon.

The back wheels of the truck, which was exiting eastward from Winchester’s Equipment Repair, ended up in the ditch, leaving the truck straddling both lanes.

The Waterville and District Fire Department responded and provided traffic control, diverting traffic north of the area via Randolph Road and Cambridge Mountain Road.
