While conducting a firearms related investigation, Kings District R.C.M.P. came across marjuana plants and, as a result, executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act at a Centreville residence on Jan. 10.

Police seized  a quantity of marihuana plants and growing equipment from the residence. Police also seized eight firearms which included an imitation AK-47 style rifle.

A 24-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, from Centreville, were arrested at the scene.

The investigation is continuing and the two Centreville residents were released on conditions and will appear in court on March 25.
