Kentville will consider adding a third lane to Aberdeen Street between River Street and Station Lane.

Town council passed a motion on Jan. 28 to have staff study the feasibility of the change – whether the road is wide enough and how parking might be affected - and to meet with the provincial Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal on the issue.

The idea was proposed in late-2012 as a potential solution to traffic tie-ups around the Aberdeen Street Tim Hortons.
