For seven years we lived across Main street from Alex Colville and would see both Alex and Rhoda fairly often. It was an honor and an inspiration to know him. My first encounter with his work was as a youngster viewing his massive mural in the Mt. Allison men's residence in 1948. May he rest in peace.

One of my fondest memories of Acadia Universit, and of living in Wolfville, was seeing Alex Colville biking around campus and the town. I am so glad to have met that very fine gentleman, thankful that I have had the opportunity to appreciate his art, and honoured that his name graces my diploma from Acadia. Thank you for all you have contributed to our country, and the world of art, and for making Acadia and Wolfville even more special. Rest in peace.
