There were 151 reports made to the RCMP in Kings County between July 18 and July 21.
Police are investigating a break-in at a residence in Greenwood and tools were stolen out of an unlocked vehicle in Grafton.
Flowers in planters were damaged again in Canning.
A home in North Kentville was broken into and some copper pipe stolen. Flooding resulted.
There were two shoplifting incidents in New Minas.
The Waterville post office was egged and a garbage box was damaged.
In New Minas, an 11-year-old hit an older youth with a pellet gun. There were no injuries. Also in New Minas, some youth attempted to get into a potato chip van.
Someone went to the hospital after a single vehicle collision on Highway 1 in Auburn.
A female driver was reported from Aldershot after not paying for gas for the third time.
Early July 19, someone broke a window at a residence in Kingston.
An intoxicated male with anger issues was reported at a drinking establishment in Wolfville.
A man and woman created a disturbance at 4:49 a.m. in Greenfield. Allegedly, they were looking for a cat.
There was a break-in at a business in Greenwood. Video is aiding the police investigation.
Police are looking into a bootlegging report.
A Lakeville resident reported a dog as the culprit in a damaged vehicle complaint.
A cell phone was taken from a locker in the arena at Acadia University.
A woman reported being heckled by two males on Commercial Street in Berwick.
A strap on a vehicle carrying an excavator came off and broke the windshield of the vehicle behind it on Highway 101.
A bonfire was reported, but police found the fire was contained in an outdoor fireplace.
A loud music complaint came in from South Alton.
An intoxicated female was reported in Wolfville at 8 p.m. and shortly afterward there was a loud music complaint on Summer Street.
A love quadrangle went wrong in New Minas at 1 a.m. July 20.
A store in Aylesford was broken into overnight and a home in the Kingston area was broken into and items taken.
A vehicle hit a deer near Greenwood at 10:30 a.m.
A 22-year-old female was arrested for shoplifting in New Minas.
Someone tried to set round hay bales on fire overnight at Chipman Brook.
A cottage at Harbourville was broken into.
A case of possible identity theft was reported in Berwick.
Police took an intoxicated man home in New Minas after around 8 p.m.
July 21, a suspicious fire in a vacant house in Waterville was reported at 1:20 a.m.
An intoxicated, screaming male was disturbing the peace in Kingston at 2:27 a.m. He was gone when police arrived.
Some frozen product was stolen overnight from a chip wagon parked in Cambridge.
Seven domestic incidents took place; there was an ex-girlfriend who wouldn’t leave and a 23-year-old man was arrested for assault.
There were seven family relations calls; two siblings in their 50s complained to police of bullying by two sisters who wanted to clean the family home.
Five mental health reports came in.
Three child welfare issues are being investigated and three issues arose at youth group homes.
Two calls of concern were received about dogs left in vehicles and there was also a baby left alone.
There were collisions in Auburn, Avonport, New Minas, Coldbrook, Highway 101 near New Minas and Greenwich. Nine driving complaints were received. Several insinuations of impairment turned out not to be true.
Checkpoints were conducted in Coldbrook, New Minas, Hants Border, Lumsden’s Pond, Brooklyn Corner, Greenwich and Berwick. One hundred vehicles were stopped in Berwick and there were no violations.
There were two false alarms and nine false 911 calls.
Community policing
Cst. Blair MacMurtery, community policing officer, listened to traffic concerns from close to two dozen residents of Hall’s Harbour at a community meeting last week.
The Seniors’ Safety program’s annual general meeting has been changed to 2 p.m. July 28 at the New Minas Fire Hall.
