A man wanted in connection with an armed robbery earlier this week in Aylesford was arrested late Friday afternoon.

Kings District RCMP said Richard William Salsman was located in a

residence in Brickton, Annapolis County and taken into custody without incident around 4:45 p.m.

Earlier Friday police had sought the public's assistance in locating the 44-year-old Kings County man in relation to a robbery investigation.

Around 10:55 p.m. Jan. 24, police responded to a complaint of robbery at the Needs Convenience Store on Highway 1, Aylesford.  The investigation revealed a lone man entered the store with a long gun and demanded money and tobacco products. The clerk complied and the suspect fled the store with an undetermined amount of money and cigarettes.
