Fire Lines

Feb. 18

• At 3:30 p.m., Kentville firefighters responded to a single-vehicle collision on Church Street. It wasn’t serious.

• Kentville firefighters responded to a two-vehicle collision with minor injuries at the intersection of Belcher Street and Middle Dyke Road at 7 p.m.

 

Feb. 19

• At 8 a.m., New Minas firefighters and the Kings County Emergency Water Rescue Team responded to Black River Lake to assist RCMP in the recovery of the victim of the previous week’s snowmobile mishap.

 

Feb. 20

• At 12:30 p.m., New Minas firefighters responded to a report of a truck leaking fuel on Highway 101 at Exit 12.

• Kentville firefighters responded to a fire alarm sounding on Exhibition Street at Valley Regional Hospital at 9:24 p.m. It turned out to be a false alarm.

 

Feb. 23

• At 3:49 p.m., Kentville firefighters responded to a report of a heating apparatus on fire at a residence on Harrington Drive. It turned out to be a problem with a hot water heater. There was steam, but no smoke or fire.
