Two farmers are running to fill the empty Kings County Council seat.
The byelection is set for District 10 this Saturday, July 23, to fill the vacancy created by the June 7 resignation of councillor Chris Parker. Parker left to take a job as chief administrative officer of High Prairie, Alberta.
Patricia Bishop, a candidate in the 2008 election in District 2, is facing fellow Greenwich native Peter Elderkin in the vote.
Voter information cards have been mailed to residents on the list of electors, indicating they can cast their ballot.
