A 27-year-old Dartmouth man was arrested in Kentville June 4 on multiple charges, including firearms offences.
Kentville Police responded to a disturbance in the downtown, and as a result, Jeffrey Wayne Walker was arrested at the scene.
Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement executed a search warrant on the man’s vehicle and two firearms were seized.
Walker was charged with possession of a Schedule II substance; possession of property obtained by crime; careless use of a firearm; possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle and two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm.
Kentville Police Const. Ryan Mason said there were no firearms involved in the initial disturbance.
The man appeared in court the same day and was released on conditions. He will be back in court in August
