RCMP have charged a Kings County man for stunting in Cambridge.
The Annapolis Valley's Traffic Services were checking vehicle speeds on Cambridge Mountain Road Nov. 20 and observed a vehicle traveling at 143 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.
A 28-year-old man from Kentville was charged under the Motor Vehicle Act for Stunting. The driver has been immediately suspended from driving for a minimum period of one week and his vehicle was seized.
If convicted, the driver could face a fine of $2,412.41 and an automatic six points will be added to his driver's record.
In the same 60 km/h zone, police charged seven other drivers under the Motor Vehicle Act with speeds ranging from 90 to 120 km/h.
Stunting can be defined as traveling more than 50km/h over the posted speed limit.
