So...volunteer members of County committees can’t run for Council but paid Councillors who are members on the same committees can run for Council? Why? Peter Jackson can’t run for Council 'cause he sits on PAC but Dick Killam, Eric Smith & Mike Ennis - all on PAC – can run? Is this fair? Rick Ackland can’t run for Council 'cause he sits on Grandview Manor but Wayne Atwater & Basil Hall, who sit with him, can run? YIKES! Jim Winsor isn’t eligible to become a Councillor because he’s on the Trails Committee but Basil Hall & Dale Lloyd (who serve on the same committee) are eligible. Surely this is not what was intended when the Municipal Elections Act was crafted.
