Four Tritons head to Eastern Nationals

Four members of the Wolfville Tritons swim club are off this weekend to compete at the 2013 Speedo Eastern Canadian swimming championships in Montreal.

Benjamin Henger, Patrick Henger, Rebecca MacPherson and Kassandra Parsons will represent the Wolfville club at the four-day meet, set for Feb. 14 to 17, which will feature top swimming talent from all of Eastern Canada.

This will be the second Eastern Canadians in as many years for MacPherson who won two medals at the meet last year, placing third in both the 100 and 200 metre freestyle. "It's a big meet," she said in a Feb. 12 media release, "and we're all really looking forward to racing this weekend."
