Patrick O'Keefe had a goal and an assist to lead the Saint Mary’s Huskies to a 2-0 victory over the Acadia Axemen Saturday in Halifax.
With the loss the Axemen finish the university hockey regular season with a 16-10-2 record and finish fourth in the conference. They will play third-seeded UPEI in the opening round of the playoffs. A schedule was expected to be released early this week.
UNB and Saint Mary’s earn first-round byes while Moncton will play St. F.X. in the other opening round series.
