St. F.X deliver Axewomen's first loss of the season

Acadia basketball had mixed success when they hosted St. F.X. Nov. 28.  

The Axewomen opened the Jam the Gym double header with their first loss of the regular season – a  74-73 squeaker.

Emily Nkosi led the Acadia effort with 28 points, earning player of the game honours.  Lindsay Harris added 18; Abby Duinker, 8; Rita Leila Sibo, 6; Rachel Savage, 6; Maya Macatumpag, 2. Kristy Moore contributed 5 points before leaving the game due to injury.

In the men’s game, Acadia came out on top with an 84-71 against St. F.X.

Jonathan Tull was the top scorer for the Axemen with 23 points.

Klassen was the Axemen player of the game with 19 points. Anthone Ashe added 19; Tyler Scott, 9; Bradley States, 8; AJ Simmonds, 3, and Thomas Filigiano and Lachlan Gale added 1 each.

Wolfville’s Jeremy Dunn was a big part of St. F.X.’s effort on the night with 15 points.
