Special showing of Maudie set for Valley Drive-In

CAMBRIDGE, NS - For the Coldbrook Lions, bringing a film with a strong Valley connection to the big screen of the Valley Drive-In was a must-do.

The popular facility opened for the season last weekend, and for one night only, the Valley Drive-In will show Maudie, the true story of Maude Lewis.

“The Lions have been working behind the scenes to bring the ever-requested Maudie to the very big screen in the Valley,” said Lion Dave Schaffner. “On Thursday, May 18, just before the long weekend, the Valley Drive-In will indeed be playing the true story of Maude Lewis (sic).”

Residents have been requesting a showing of the popular film, Schaffner said, and thanks to the work of Lion Kirk Longmire, they succeeded.

“Don't miss out. We only have the booking for one night,” he added.

There is a special price of $15 a carload for the show, which will get underway at 9 p.m.
