Communities join together for Canada Day at Clementsport Legion
CLEMENTSPORT - Canada Day celebrations return to Clementsport Legion July 1 with three communities joining together to make it a spectacular day.
Harpist Johanne McInnis has some interesting sessions lined up this summer at Kingsport involving music, yoga and meditation.
KINGSPORT, NS – This summer dates have been lined up for meditation, yoga and harp music on the beach at Kingsport.
Well-known Kings County harpist Johanne McInnis and various guests over the summer are offering a unique beach experience – including some at sunrise or sunset. The first session is July 3.
Having recently graduated from the Breathing Space Studio in Halifax, McInnis says she hopes to bring her cumulative 25 years of teaching experience to a new level through harp and meditation.
The other dates for the summer are: July 8, August 5 and August 9 at 11 a.m. Participants will gather at the Kingsport canteen at 10:55 a.m. An alternative location will be chosen for rain days, McInnis says.
Among those joining McInnis will be Janice McDonald, who has taught yoga at the Landing Studio in Canning for a year, and Karen Roberts. The two women worked together at the Yoga Festival in Kentville in 2015.
Hilda Peill of Wilmot will also provide chair massage therapy at the August sessions.
The fee is $10 in advance and early registration is preferred.
