WINDSOR, N.S. – The Welsford Lodge No. 26 in Windsor presented a $10,000 grant from the Masonic Foundation of Nova Scotia to the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo Tickets for Youth Program.
“To be able to make a difference in the life of young people by exposing them to the rich culture, heritage and traditions of the world in the iconic Canadian way that the Tattoo embodies those things, is very much in line with our Masonic principles; particularly that of charity,” Worshipful Brother Darren P. Lynch, Master of Welsford Lodge No. 26 said in a press release.
V. Wor. Bro. Frank Reinhardt, another member of the lodge, was a member of the original Canadian Forces Tattoo, which toured the country as part of Canada's centennial celebrations in 1967.
Tom Peet, director of the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo and Jennie King, executive producer of the RNSIT accepted the cheque from the lodge members.
The Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo runs from June 26 until July 2, 2018.
