YARMOUTH COUNTY, N.S. – The 41st annual SARMU has wrapped up for another season but not before displaying a lot of student talent.
Three nights of shows – featuring students from Ecole Par-en-Bas and Drumlin Heights Consolidated School – were held May 13-15 on the Drumlin stage.
Preparing for the show takes months of work, with rehearsals having started back in February.
Students sing solo acts with backup harmonies, while others provide all of the music for the songs. There are many students who multi-task throughout the evening, singing, providing harmonies and playing musical instruments.
Tackling a wide range of songs that included ones by The Tragically Hip, Elvis, ABBA, Sara Bareilles, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Joni Mitchell and much more, students who performed songs were: Nadia Chetwynd, Kaylee Bourque, Angele LeBlanc, Jacques Surette, Luke Babin, Maggie Amirault, Breanna Muise, Marissa Williams, Sylvianne d’Entremont, Kennedie Harris, Arwen Brobbin, Abbey d’Entremont, Chloe d’Eon and Jeremy May.
