During the third day of testimony in an attempted murder trial in Kentville, one witness described the accused striking the alleged victim in the head with a hammer.
KENTVILLE - A Torbrook man has pleaded not guilty to a charge relating to an alleged purse-snatching incident in Greenwood.
Shawn Douglas Connell, 21, pleaded not guilty to a charge of assaulting a woman with intent to steal her purse during a Feb. 8 appearance in Kentville provincial court. The matter has been adjourned to June 1 for trial.
It’s alleged that Connell committed the offence in Greenwood Nov. 6, 2015. The charge has not been proven in court.
