Police seize 160 grams of cocaine in Wolfville

WOLFVILLE - A Wolfville man is facing charges after police officers seized 160 grams of cocaine during a residence search.

The Valley Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit and Kings District RCMP executed a search warrant at the Wolfville residence Feb. 8. A number of items were seized, including 160 grams of cocaine, some scales, a cell phone, cash and a small amount of marijuana.

The homeowner, 32-year-old Justin Balcom, was arrested. The accused is now facing charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Balcom was scheduled to appear in Kentville provincial court Feb. 9.

The integrated street crime unit consists of members of both Kings District RCMP and the Kentville Police Service.
