March 3

• At 2:20 p.m., Greenwich firefighters responded to an ATV on fire on Minor Meadow Road. Wolfville responded in mutual aid with a tanker.

 

March 4

• Greenwich firefighters responded to a chimney fire on Lower Sunken Lake Road at 8:10 a.m.

 

March 5

• Wolfville firefighters responded to a report of a possible grass fire in West Brooklyn. At 7:16 a.m., but it turned out to be nothing.

• At 7:50 a.m., Kentville firefighters responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 101 at Exit 14 involving a car and a snowplow. There were no injuries.

• At 8:19 a.m., Kentville firefighters responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision at Chipman Corner. There were no injuries.

• Port Williams firefighters responded to a single-vehicle rollover on Belcher Street at 8:35 a.m. Greenwich firefighters responded in mutual aid.

• At 3:10 p.m., New Minas firefighters responded to a single-vehicle collision in the Sobey’s parking lot in New Minas. A vehicle, which had struck a fire hydrant, was leaking fuel.

• Kentville firefighters responded to a commercial fire alarm sounding on Highway 1 in Coldbrook at 4:27 p.m.

 

March 6

• Wolfville firefighters responded to a chimney fire at Black River Lake just after 10 a.m.

• Kentville firefighters responded to a single-vehicle collision on the on ramp at Exit 14 on Highway 101 at noon. A vehicle had hit the guardrail. The response was stood down by paramedics.

 

March 7

• At 5 p.m., Kingston and District firefighters responded to a chimney fire in the Green Acres Subdivision.

• New Minas firefighters responded to smoke at a business on Commercial Street at 6:20 p.m.

• New Minas firefighters responded to a two-vehicle collision at the lights at Commercial Street and the Highway 101 access at 8:50 p.m. Two people were transported to hospital with undetermined injuries.

 

March 8

• At 11 a.m., Aylesford and District firefighters responded to a grass fire on Aylesford Road.

• Waterville and District firefighters responded to a report of a field on fire on Highway 221 in Woodville just after 2 p.m.

• At 6:49 p.m., Wolfville firefighters responded to a report of a possible grass fire near Highway 101 in Avonport. It turned out to be nothing.

 

March 9

• Kentville firefighters responded to a report of a possible electrical fire on Oakdene Avenue in Kentville at 6:23 a.m. It turned out to be a problem with the furnace.
