Following are highlights of the week:

-- June 26 at 10:50 a.m. at Port Lorne. Police received a complaint of theft from a motor vehicle. A man reported that he left his vehicle at the Port Lorne wharf and went for a walk. When he returned he noticed that his vehicle had been broken into. His trunk was wide open. A tire and two jerry cans were missing.
-- June 26 at 12:44 p.m. at Victoriavale. Police were called to a break-and-enter into a shed. An investigation has been launched.
-- June 26 at 4:27 p.m. at Waldec. Police received a complaint that something about the size of a tire is on fire in the middle of Dunn Road. Firefighters attended the scene and extinguished the fire.
-- June 26 at 10:27 p.m. at Cornwallis Park. Police conducted a checkstop on Highway 1 at Cornwallis. Ten vehicles were checked and one warning was issued for not carrying an insurance card. There were seven additional checkstops conducted throughout the week.
-- June 27 at 2:08 a.m. in Bridgetown. Police received report that a house had been paint-balled. The caller reported her husband was out chasing the suspect. Police made an immediate patrol to the area but the subjects were not located. The complainant reported that the suspects were wearing camo and provided names. The complainant said it was an ongoing issue and that the suspects drove by the complainant’s house the week before holding a paintball gun out the window. A paintball gun was located later in the day on the trail near the house.
-- June 27 at 11:05 a.m. at Bridgetown. Police were called to a residence in Bridgetown to recover a found item. Police went to the home and seized a paintball gun that is believed to have been involved in a number of mischief complaints in the Bridgetown area. It appears the paintball gun may have been deliberately hidden and that the culprits may have intended to come back for it. The investigation continues.
-- June 27 at 12:44 p.m. at Port George. Police received a complaint of dangerous driving on Douglas Road. Police were able to track down the suspect vehicle, advised him of the complaint, and warned the driver to be more prudent.
-- June 27 at 6:25 p.m. at Upper Clements. Police received a complaint of dangerous driving on Highway 1. The caller reported that the suspect vehicle swerved into the lane of oncoming traffic. Another vehicle had to move to avoid a collision. A description of the vehicle and license plate number was given to police. RCMP and Annapolis Royal Police made patrols to the area but were unable to find the vehicle. Members went to the registered owner’s residence and spoke with the owner advising him of the complaint.
-- June 27 at 8:46 p.m. at Wilmot. Police were contacted and advised of a wallet that had been found on the trail in Middleton. Police went to the finder’s address and obtained the wallet and returned it to its rightful owner.
-- June 28 at 2 p.m. at Granville Centre. Police stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 1. If convicted the driver will pay a fine of $237.50. Police charged 19 other motorists with speeding violations during the week at various locations.
-- June 27 at 3:59 p.m. at Bridgetown. Police received a complaint that a youth was in possession of a BMX bike that had been stolen two years ago. Police went to the suspect’s residence and located the bike in question which had its serial numbers recently filed down. Police seized the bike to confirm its rightful ownership.
-- June 28 at 9:25 p.m. at Nictaux. Police received a complaint of several young males in a silver pickup truck driving on Highway 201 shooting fireworks off the back truck. Police patrolled to the area but the suspect vehicle was gone on arrival.
-- June 28 at 10:13 p.m. at Clementsport. Police received a complaint that a person had received a phone call saying that she was involved in a lawsuit and that if she didn’t cooperate there would be an arrest warrant issued. The complainant provided the number to police but didn’t provide the fraudster with any additional information or money. The caller was referred to Phonebusters to report the fraud.
-- June 29 at 7:29 a.m. at Waldec. Police received a complaint of a break-and-enter at a local business. Locks were busted off the doors of a storage building and a chainsaw and an air hose and attachments were taken. Police have entered into an investigation.
-- June 29 at 8:08 a.m. at Clarence. Police received a complaint of fraud where the complainant was contacted by someone stating they were from Western Union. They instructed the person to go to their computer and the fraudsters then gained access to the computer and then froze it. The victim was told they had to buy a number of iTune gift cards. The complainant did not comply and was provided with information that would assist them in unlocking their device.
-- June 29 at 9:17 a.m. at Middleton. Police received a complaint of mischief. A moving van was damaged. It appears there was an attempt to steal the vehicle as the ignition had been ripped out. Police went to the scene and opened an investigation.
-- June 29 at 2:58 p.m. at West Paradise. Police were called to a break-and-enter into a residence. Police learned the residence has been vacant for a year and a half. Sometime in that timeframe the place was broken into and vandalized. Numerous goods were stolen, including a heavy cast iron stove and a generator. The incident is under investigation.
-- July 1 at 6:27 a.m. at Bridgetown. Police received a complaint of 15 to 20 cattle loose on the soccer filed at Bridgetown Regional High School. The caller was concerned the animals would find their way onto the main road. Police went to the scene and were able to locate the owner who was able to herd the animals back to his property.
-- July 1 at 9:28 a.m. at Allains Creek. Police received a complaint of mischief. The caller reported someone tore up the greens at the golf course with an ATV. The damage happened overnight. It would appear that the ATV went to three different locations on the property. Photos and statements have been taken and the investigation continues.
-- July 1 at 11:45 p.m. at Bridgetown. During a checkstop on Granville Street, police located a vehicle with open liquor. The person was given a roadside demand for a breath sample. He was arrested for impaired driving and transported to the detachment for a breath test. The 54-year-old man has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and will appear in court at a later date.
-- July 2 at 8:03 a.m. at Granville Ferry. Police responded to a complaint of a 911 domestic. Police attended and arrested a 29-year-old man. He has been charged with assault and will attend court at a later date.
-- July 2 at 5:05 p.m. at Carlton Corner. Police responded to a 911 open-line call. Police were able to overhear two men arguing. Upon arrival, police determined that an older man and his son were watching CNN that was featuring a show about Donald Trump. The load noise was actually coming from the TV interview. The older man may have accidently dialed 911 when putting phone down. The older man was hard of hearing so the TV was turned up.
-- July 2 at 8:24 p.m. in Lequille. Police received a request to pick up a bicycle. The caller said it had been there for three or four days. They weren’t sure if it was stolen and didn’t know who it belonged to. The bike has been added to Canadian Police Information Centre data base.
