Time deemed served for mischief, probation offence

Michelle Mary Bonvie, 27, of Windsor, has been sentenced to time deemed served and fined for committing mischief by calling in a bomb threat to Donnie’s Taxi and failing to comply with probation.

Bonvie was present in Windsor provincial court in custody on Sept. 11, when she pleaded guilty to the two charges. Judge Ronda Van Der Hoek sentenced Bonvie to one day in custody deemed served on each charge and fined her a total of $200 in victim surcharges.

Bonvie committed the offences in Windsor on Aug. 21. A charge of failing to comply with her undertaking was withdrawn.

Suspended sentence for assault

Jeremy Laurie Gautreau, 30, of Cambridge, Kings County, has been handed a suspended sentence with probation for committing an assault.

Gautreau changed his plea to guilty on Sept. 13. Judge Alan Tufts handed Gautreau a suspended sentence with 12 months of probation.

Gauteau committed the offence in Greenwood between Sept. 1 and Nov. 30, 2008. Three more counts of assault, a charge of unlawful confinement, a charge of uttering a threat by telephone to burn a house and a charge of uttering a threat by telephone to shoot horses were dismissed.

Suspended sentence for assault

John David Wilson, 60, of Kentville, has been handed a suspended sentence with probation for committing an assault.

Wilson pleaded guilty to the charge on Sept. 12. Judge Alan Tufts handed Wilson a suspended sentence with nine months of reporting probation and fined him $100 in victim surcharges.

Wilson committed the offence in Kentville on Aug. 1. Another count of assault and two counts of mischief were withdrawn on Sept. 12.
