KENTVILLE, NS - A collision between a tractor trailer and car in Kentville has resulted in one party being transported to Valley Regional Hospital with serious injuries.

A news release from the Kentville Police Service issued just after 1 p.m. on July 30 states that police were still on the scene of the collision, which occurred at the 400 block of Park Street at around 9:15 a.m.

Police, fire fighters and EHS paramedics responded to the scene and one party was transported to Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville with what is described in the news release as serious injuries.

The RCMP’s Annapolis Valley Traffic Services is assisting in the investigation. Traffic is being detoured through the Kentville industrial park between Roscoe and Harrington. It is estimated that the street will be closed for approximately four hours while the investigation is completed.
