Shot fired into living room of Westport home

WESTPORT, NS – A shot was fired into the living of a Westport home around midnight September 28.

The shot was fired through the living room window of the home, located on Second Street in a rural area not visible to neighbours.

A man, woman and small child were inside the house at the time the shot was fired. No one was injured from the shot.

The release states the RCMP are not treating this as a random incident.

“This is certainly the first time I’ve seen something like this come from that area,” said Corporal Jennifer Clarke, Media Relations Officer with Nova Scotia RCMP.

An investigation is ongoing into the incident. The RCMP are not releasing more details at this time, but are encouraging anyone with information to reach out.
