GREENWOOD – Police are on the lookout for a woman behind an armed robbery that occurred in the pharmacy section of Sobeys in Greenwood March 21.
“Last night at approximately 8:10 p.m., a woman entered a grocery store in Greenwood and handed the pharmacists a note demanding prescription drugs and money,” said Const. Kelli Gaudet of the Kings District RCMP in a media release March 22.
“She told one pharmacist that she had a knife. The woman fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of contin and hydromorphone pills.”
The suspect has been described as a white woman, standing at about five feet, six inches tall with a medium build.
“The suspect had her face covered. No one was injured,” said Gaudet.
The Kings District General Investigation Section (GIS) and is handling the case with assistance from RCMP Police Dog Service (PDS).

“Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if police make an arrest and lay charges based on a tip, callers qualify for a cash award,” said Gaudet.
