AUBURN – A two-year-old has died following a fall into a pond in Auburn.
An RCMP release issued Sept. 26 states that Kings District RCMP were called at 6 p.m. to a residence on Highway 1 to respond to a report that the young boy had fallen into a manmade pond on the family's property.
EHS paramedics were attempting to resuscitate the boy as RCMP arrived. He was then transported to hospital for further treatment, but died shortly after 7 p.m.
The release says the RCMP's investigation remains ongoing.
