KINGS COUNTY – Get your smartphones and smiles ready, because you might have a chance at scoring a selfie with Canada’s prime minister May 31 in Kings County.

Leader of the country and lover of selfies Justin Trudeau will be in attendance at a private Liberal function at a Wolfville winery.

Trudeau, who often visits local sites and businesses as he travels to small towns for public or private events, could be out and about as the day progresses, so be sure to keep that smile at the ready on the chance of running into him.

Trudeau last visited the area during the 2017 summer on a visit to the South Shore, including stops in Yarmouth and Port Joli, with a walkabout at Kejimkujik National Park.

He also visited Bridgetown in August 2016, when he announced that more than $238 million was to be invested in wastewater and public transit projects.

He took many opportunities during all of these visits to chat, shake hands and take selfies with many people lined up to see him.
